Guatemala Water Network Renovation

Supply of locked ductile iron pipes, fittings, and valves for a coffee plantation in Guatemala
The existing lap-welded steel pipes served their purpose for nearly a century. Reaching the end of their service life, they were replaced by ductile iron pipe, a more modern and efficient material, manufactured in accordance with EN 545:2010 standard for drinking water, with a double chamber locked joint, a system that guarantees the non-disconnection of the joints allowing the elimination of concrete anchors throughout the length of the pipe, including elbows.
Supply
The ductile iron pipe from CONSTRUTEC DUKTIL has been supplied with a corrosion protection coating of centrifugally applied cement according to ISO 4179. It was provided with an external protection of hot-sprayed metallic zinc and a topcoat of high corrosion resistance PU LL polyurethane in blue, typical for water supply.
The project, with diameters between DN 100 and DN 400, was supplied with the entire package of ductile iron fittings, such as elbows, drain tees, tees for the air release valve system, as well as all the necessary valves to provide the system with the elements necessary for perfect operation.
Likewise, the client received full support from the technical department for good execution.
