Ductile Iron Pipes for Sanitation

Ductile iron pipe, in accordance with the UNE EN 598 standard, is used in gravity or pressure wastewater conduits.

Our pipe ensures the efficient transport of wastewater or rainwater from where it is generated to the place where it is discharged or treated.

Applications of Ductile Iron Pipes  for Water Sanitation

Ductile iron pipe with an interior lining of high alumina cement mortar is suitable for conveying wastewater, even with high aggressiveness, for multiple applications:

  • Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
  • Sewerage channeling
  • Wastewater pumping station (WWPS)
  • Collection systems
  • Seawater transport
  • Submarine outfall
  • And many more…

Treatment Plan of Solvay-Chemistry Factory in Torrelavega

The Solvay effluent treatment plant has maintained a good discharge quality into the San Martín de la Arena estuary since the ductile cast iron pipeline supplied by Construtec Duktil for the conveyance of wastewater and treated water was installed.

Construtec Duktil supplied two 600 mm ductile cast iron pipelines that pump from the pump house to the plant and the 800 mm pipeline for the discharge of treated water.

Among the pipe’s features, the interior lining of high alumina cement mortar stands out, suitable for wastewater and raw or treated water with pH ≥ 4, and the exterior coated with a layer of zinc, finished in red epoxy.
