Case of Success
Valdelinares ski resort
Tipology
High pressure pumping
Artificial innovation
Location
Valdelinares
Teruel, España.
The Valdelinares ski resort was undergoing expansion, with new slopes being created and a need to enlarge its artificial snowmaking network.
The project involved pumping 20 liters per second (expandable to 40 liters per second) to an existing reservoir located at 1986 meters, from a catchment point situated at 1587 meters.
The pipeline route runs for its first 3 km through an area with a steep slope, notably wooded, and with some ups and downs.
